And we're not on this thread to compare NYC to Chicago, guys... or gals, *I don't know*

Let's try to show the CHICAGO SPIRIT of care, concern, a welcoming and enveloping Spirit....
And coming from a an ORIGINAL East coast gal, I think it important to continue to let those on this thread, and in the entire CHICAGO Forum, SEE how amazing the city AND THE PEOPLE, are.

*check Yelp for more info about what's available, where. Great site for specifics that this site cannot offer*

Midwest hugs,

bullie~

Blows my mind that people eat Indian food on purpose. Was I the only person that saw The Temple of Doom?

New York is just so much more compact and dense. You can get anything delivered at just about any time. It's really a unique situation in the United States.

Who the hell would watch Temple of Doom and think THAT was Indian food? Jeez. I remember I showed my friend from India that movie to get his reaction and he was actually pissed at it - especially the food scenes. He couldn't believe anybody would portray Indian food like that...no joke. REAL Indian food is a) nothing like that and b) amazing.

It's gotta suck thinking that Indian food sucks. One of the best cuisines on earth IMO, but to each their own

Sorry to hear that.

Not sure how that supports your argument, though, or what your argument even was, for that matter.

That place is overrated as all hell but if you want some visual stuff then sure. There's better sushi/Japanese in the area. By the way, a new Peruvian place from Gason Acurio (a restauranteur from Peru with loads of restaurants) is opening in River North pretty soon (August):

Gaston Acurio: Chef Gaston Acurio's Tanta Chicago Coming Soon
