So Lollapalooza kicked off today! Was anybody there?

What were your favorite acts?

Anybody going Saturday or Sunday?

Are you impressed with this years lineup?

Weak headliners this year. This'll be the first year I didn't go in a long time.

I went to see the Trent Reznor/NIN "farewell tour" show at Lolla in 2008. He's a headliner this year.

Recycling headliners only 5 yrs later is a little re-dunk-ulous. Especially if it's a band that isn't really doing anything lately.

Also, I like The Killers and Mumford and Sons..But neither made me buy a ticket this year.

Not a single band/artist on the bill were a real "get" for Lolla this year.

I would like to see The Cure tho'.

Not going this year, but I'd call Nine Inch Nails, Thievery Corporation, Queens of the Stone Age, The Cure, Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Postal Service, Crystal Castles, etc all pretty solid acts..

I've only been once since they made it a 3 day festival and I'd probably never go for the entire weekend again. I was exhausted for a week afterwards.

You can buy one day passes for each individual day. I had a great time yesterday, i saw One Inch nails, Lana Del Rey, the Killers and chilled out by the perry stage for quite a bit. I agree i wasn't to thrilled about this years lineup but thats only half the experience of lolla.

I went yesterday. The weekend lineup isn't killer even if the Killers are playing but it's still decent enough. I saw NIN, they were real good with some flashes of brilliance. I didn't care for the long piano concerto in the middle but I guess Trent just needs a vocal break in between. Queens of the Stone age were mostly good. Crystal Castles was ok. Father Misty was decent. Only a few moments totally rocked out but better a few than none. Still, all in all a fun time. Let's see what Saturday brings.

Killers are overrated. My friend said Thievery Corporation killed it, which I'd believe. They are amazing, and the one time I saw them it was amazing.

The Cure killed it yesterday! Thankfully since the day before was pretty mediocre (I'm looking at you Mumford and Sons). The Cure sounded tight and especially adept at playing to a huge crowd. Definitely the weekend highlight. Vampire Weekend rocked out pretty well too. I didn't get to see Phoenix since I was getting "Cured" but I heard they also did well. Sunday, Friday and then Saturday this year for the best days for me. Not an amazing fest but at least The Cure provided a great close to the weekend.

Highlight: The Cure

Lowlight: The port o potties

Middlelight: Much of the fest :|
