Need help finding a small tax/accounting firm for a client (Chicago: real estate, income)

I'm a financial advisor and my clients typically have a household net worth between $1 million and $5 million. Needless to say, this is far past the point of HR Block or some unlicensed/uncredentialed accountant.


I would really appreciate it if you Chicago folks would help me by naming some small (5 to 30 employees) tax and accounting firms in the Chicago area. I need to find a CPA who meets most of these qualifications:

1. Has a Masters in taxation

2. Doesn't work in a huge firm (I don't want my client being neglected because his fees are relatively small)

3. Focuses on working with individuals as opposed to corporations

4. Can handle people with some affluence. Many accountants work with middle income households and have never had to deal with estate taxes, advanced trust work, foreign assets, or multiple pieces of real estate. I need someone who's been in the trenches and dealt with the complexities that come with wealth.


I have a client in Chicago who needs a competent tax accountant. I also need one that is going to keep me in the loop and collaborate with me.
