Comcast is a pretty crappy company in general, and their customer service is no exception. However, their prices and speeds are relatively fair (at least comparatively speaking) and you shouldn't get a lot of internet downtime. If you do have a problem with Comcast, it can be a real pain to fix. Or, it may be a quick fix... it's impossible to know until it happens. Also beware, Comcast has been known to overcharge when it comes to payment time. Just watch your bill online.

In my area (606xx), AT&T is the only alternative to comcast. It is marginally cheaper for a much, much slower speed. Basically an unusable speed if I want anything more than web browsing. In that sense I was forced to choose Comcast, although I would take a decent alternative in a heartbeat. Trust me, I checked all my options

Please Google Fiber, help us...

Exactly, if I go with AT&T they can only offer me 768KBPS. What other ISP's are there??

Do you live in a house or do you live in a building with other units?

I have AT&T U-Verse and it's OK. But I'm annoyed that the price keeps creeping up. It started out at $47/mo for 12 up/2 down, and in 3 years it has crept up to $63/mo. Plus I've been experiencing periodic latency which wasn't a problem until recently. A tech told me he thinks someone in the neighborhood operates a ham radio that interferes with our service. Huh??

I tried inquiring about new service with Comcrap but they refuse to give me a straight answer as to what my rate would be after the promotional rate expires. Plus their internet-only packages currently available appear to jump from 6mbps to 105mbps. I need more than 6mbps but I sure as hell don't need 105mbps.

Same issue here with AT & T and I am not in your zip code; it seems as if their 'technology' is going backwards or something else is seriously amiss.
