I have never had any young white person ask me for money, in the Chicago area. Other cities, yes, but not Chicago. It's a strange coincidence that the last three times I stopped by the OTP, a young white person has asked me for money. They had similar stories, also. That they needed gas money to travel to see a sick/dying relative. Anyone else encountered these people?

It may be fake! they all say that. its fun when one of them gets caught getting your money and then sneaking over to their Mercedes.

dont give your money.. if they are using it for drugs, you are enabling them.

some maybe homeless or in trouble, but its a typical scam.

Never give a beggar money. This only reinforces them to keep doing what they're doing.

I remember people doing this at gas stations. You're sitting there pumping gas and some fool comes up saying he doesn't have money for gas to get back home to Milwaukee to see his dying mom.

About fifteen years ago I had a young attractive well-dressed white woman pull that gas money scam at the Lake Forest Oasis. If you're accustomed to judging people solely by their appearances, you may be ripe for victimhood.

Don't give any money to anyone who ask for it. There are resources to help people who are hungry, behind on rent or even needing to get somewhere to see a sick loved one.
