Erm, make that the Armitage or Ashland bus. The North Avenue bus doesn't go by the station.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I guess I'll just bite the bullet and pay the money for a bus pass.

Now to find something cheap in the area!

It's just primarily a Puerto Rican neighborhood that's against gentrification. And with much cheaper rents. Even on the Western border. Check out the Metra website Metra - Welcome to Metra and get the address of the Clyborne station, then map it. Remember, east of Western = Wicker Park. West of Western = Humboldt Park.
I'm sorry, Humboldt Park safe? Any neighborhood where people throw fireworks at cars and shoot guns in the air for every little holiday is not safe to me.

What bus pass? What do you mean? I thought you were going to take the Metra?

I see. I thought he was a she at first?Oh well. Hmmm. Well, if he has to walk less than 6 blocks to the station is not worth it. I guess it depends where he finds a place....

That would actually be quite walkable to the Clybourn station -- 5 minutes or less on foot.

I "wood" recommend that choice of location.
