No love for Standard Market? It's a nice alternative to Whole Foods, at least out here in Naperville.

I dont know, i haven't been out to the suburbs to shop at Jewel.. how in the world are they going to bag your groceries if they dont have enough of the $1.49 bags?

I am not sure, but i believe we can thank the tree huggers, environmentalists who want us to go GREEN.

Plastic ones that are meant to be used few times are only 30 cents. Paper bags might cost 5 cents. They did I this in Seattle. Most people just buy paper.
They had these grocery bags on a hook next to the cashier. $1.49 for each.

Many of us recycle them by using them as garbage bags, to take your lunch to work, to carry stuff back and forth, as a rainhat when it rains, and to pick up dog poop.

we have to be careful about re-using bags, if you have packed meat in them and the juice from the meat runs out inside the bag you cant put fresh food in there that you wont cook because the raw meat juice will bring bacteria onto your food.

According to this article, Jewel is one of the retailers that plans to offer nicer "reusable" plastic bags free of charge: The result of Chicago plastic bag ban: Shopping bags to be sturdier - Chicago Tribune

What's so interesting, a large corporation like Target has less of a dress code for their female employees and cashiers. They can wear red shirts that show cleavage.

Then compare to Mariano's, all female cashiers are required to wear buttoned and long-hanging ties.

Though my question is not likely to be geared towards the married men, but with knowing this information, what do you prefer?

Mariano's and McDonald's think it's professional to have all their female employees wear ties.

Target allows female employees to show cleavage.

Which corporation is deemed most favorable?

And this is how you get off topic!

Target allows it? Umm, aren't those women adults who can choose to wear a shirt buttoned up if they choose? Or do you think women are like helpless children who need someone in authority to make decisions for them?

Yes, presumably the married ones, and the older ones, etc.

For other things, but this isn't 1 of them.
