I actually don't find there to be THAT many. I think a bigger problem is people walking 3-4 people across and not having etiquette so they take up half the trail. Some cyclists also go way too fast for the 606 being relatively narrow.

It's very pretty but those a-hole bicyclists are getting more and more aggressive.

It's fantastic, but so narrow and crowded, unless you go way off peak times or during not-so-great weather. Ideally, it should be twice as wide with pedestrian and bike lanes in each direction. But, I realize they didn't have that much to work with. Though the crowds may just be an unlucky coincidence on the three times I've visited the trial.

Naw crowds in the summer tend to be pretty bad and I feel this year it has gotten worse. Until more trails open up I think this one is going to get more and more crowded.

I have only been on rainy days and or snowy days.
Just to not have too many people around.

You live fairly close to the trail, don't you? Do you feel it's had a positive impact on the neighborhood beyond the increased property values? You usually have a pretty good take on things and I'd love to hear your opinion.

Actually when you think about it it would make sense. The parts of the city for the most part that are on the river ( I am talking about LP, North Center, Avondale, Logan Square) their areas that touch the river are not close to a train stop, so from commuter perspective it might be nice to add that.
great idea, but I don't think there would be the necessary right-of-way on either bank for it to happen.
