this has more to do with parenting than children. i was at the lake over the weekened and saw what had to be an 8/9 year old girl in the middle of the lake......staring at a smart phone.

Of course it has to do with parenting, but at the same time it the sign of the times too. I was raised to be outdoors all the time as a kid and I was. Now at 30 when on the train, just like most of the people on the train as well, we are all hooked on our phones. Adults of all ages are also now addicted to their phones, so I don't blame parents completely because it's just the way technology has shifted our culture. I do blame however adults that do not encourage their kids to be outdoors more.

But I also get what you are saying. When I sit down at home and watch a movie with the kids, I collect their phones and put them in a corner, because we can watch a movie completely without them needing to look at their phone (which I guilty of as well).

Well, I did that during the Macarena period and we ended up with Bush II!

I'm 26 and I play it.
I walk my dog everyday so I don't really go out more than I usually do.

Instead of music I open the game instead.

I'll get bored of it one day. But for now I enjoy it.

What gets me is these people posting things on FB or IG about how "I have better things to worry than catch pokemon"
I'm sure all the older players have jobs, exercise, have girlfriends, and have other interests.
