What's a good pizza place to try? We ate at Gino's east last time. I love deep dish pizza.

Art of Pizza! I believe it was voted favorite by readers of Chicago Tribune. People who grew up here swear by Lou Malnati's but I think it must be a nostalgia thing/something connected to childhood memories. I've tried it five times and every time it's just fine, but nowhere near the level of Art of Pizza. Just my two cents. It's not a nice place you'd want to eat at though and delivery takes about an hour and a half.

Pequod’s is my favorite.

Lou Malnati's is the best Chicago style pizza. It you want real Italian food, Riccardo Trattoria is the best I have eaten anywhere in the US.

I'm with you on Lou Malnati's; it is just ok to me; though to be fair, I don't really care for deep dish pizza.

There's Deep Dish and then there's Stuffed. Stuffed has a thin extra layer of dough on the top and loads of cheese.

Giordano's and Bella Bacino's have great stuffed pies.

For Deep Dish, I'd also add Pizzeria Due to the list above...

Typically need to make reservations there months in advance. You can take a chance and sit at the bar though. It's very expensive and very adventurous eating.

Also suggest Au Cheval and Publican, which are in the Randolph St. Restaurant Row area. There are many top-notch restaurants there.

Do they really serve pig face? I saw pig face and tongues on the menu....that might be too adventurous for me.

Yeah, but it's not how you might think it would be. I've had the pig face. It was good.
