I would like to take this time to vent about what I see as the zombie degradation of The Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue.

This a beautiful Art Noveau building with picturesque views of lakefront parks, vintage hand operated elevators, beautiful art murals, arched ceilings, Italian marble, bronze, stained glass, and tile mosaics. It was once a peaceful artist colony where Franklin Lloyd Wright worked.

It is still home to a number of artists, architects, opera teachers, music schools and teachers, photography and costume studios, furniture makers, string instrument luthiers, rare book, art, and sheet music dealers, dance and yoga studios, and the Studebaker theatre... Up until a few months ago, it was a peaceful oasis of art within a hectic city. Yet all that has changed since the zombies have come.

Yes, yet another Zombie escape room has relocated to be smack in the middle of this beautiful building. So as one is quietly perusing sheets of rare music, practicing cello, or holding a peaceful yoga position, the solace is interrupted by the extraordinarily loud clanking of chains and saws and the screams of "I'm going to kill you zombie" that reverberate all throughout the marble stairwells and open courtyards of this fine building.

I frickin' hate zombies. They ruin everything.

Who says zombies cannot be purveyors of the arts when they are not busy with their undead activities(?)
