Maybe this is more of a rant and rave but...

I got all my G.I. Joes (small ones) and some Transformers back from my mother today after letting them sleep (or at least I thought they were) for 14 years in storage. Most of my figures and weapons are intact. It seems though someone tampered with my toys and lost some of my bombs and missles for my vehicles (and aircraft.) Also they got some of my vehicles (and aircraft) and my command center dirty and never cleaned them before putting them back in storage. So I have spent the last 7 hours cleaning things. I know who messed with my stuff and I am not too happy. It is a long story so I will not explain totally. Basically this person cost me hundreds of dollars if not a couple thousand in profit if I end up selling my toys. No, it was not my mom that messed with my toys...

This will take me days to finish. Anyway, I am happy to have my Joes back. All 50 or so of them...Some need to be repaired and we shall see if I can find someone to do that...

Comments welcome...

Yes. It is.

I have a brother who is almost six years older than me, and two other brothers that are two and four years younger. The three of us systematically destroyed my older brother's entire GI Joe collection when we were too young to know better. We all feel mighty stupid about that now.

Dont feel bad, I had some of my Gen 1 Transformers COLORED on with marker by some unknown assailant. My Constructicons were ALL destroyed, as was my original Megatron and Bumblebee. I also had a aircraft carrier-ish Transformer (forgot his name) that was written on, and my six-changer Astrotrain was pretty much destroyed. I feel your pain.

are you sure they're worth thousands of dollars...GI Joes sell on ebay for like 5 bucks.

i've still got all of my heman and skeletor stuff. like the castles and everything...dozens of action figures too. of course i stored them in plastic bags so no water or dirt would get on them.

That stinks dude.

My sister (I suspect) took my original "Francie" doll while it was at my Mom's house. I was still in college and unawares my treasures were being looted. She gave it to her little daughter, whom likely destroyed it - no one is owning up to where it went to. It is of course, the most expensive "Francie" doll that you can get. Like $300+ to replace it.... aaaggggghhhh.

Oh well, at least I still have my Malibu barbie circa 1973. And my Chrissy doll. I was the type of kid who took immaculate care of my toys too. (cause we didn't have too many)

I am making sure my son's "lego" and "rescue heroes" stay safe. And my daughters "littlest pet shop" sets. Those are their "heirloom" toys that I will never give away.

Wow...I never got into the barbies or action dolls scene. I equated all dolls with "girly stuff" and I was a total tomboy.....tonka trucks (back when they were made of metal) matchbox cars, etc. Although I did have a stretch armstrong and broke it open to see what was inside.

What was that toy...set up like a boxing ring with two robotic type of boxing figures and you pressed buttons or their heads or something to get them to box?? You know what Im' talking about?

I wish I would have kept alot of the old school toys. Better than the crap they're putting out today.

some kind of syrupy type substance...like a bunch of goo...if you stick him in the freezer it would stop the oozing/bleeding once you cut him open.

Funny thread... My dolls also got bad haircuts from my sisters. When I was 12 my sister stole my very cool hot pink Swatch watch and gave it to her friend as a birthday present.

We're packing up to move and I'm wondering which toys to save. We have some old metal Tonka trucks which may be worth something someday. I also have the Robot Boxers and one of those old toy record players. My kids have no idea what a record player is.
