I find an assortment of different cab colors to look somewhat junky as one views the streetscape
-- yes, like in Chicago. Haven't been there in over six years, but then and previously, the cab fleet looked somewhat run down and older compared to most cabs in Boston.

In Boston, about 15 years ago, the various taxi fleets had to incorporate more white on the exterior. Apparently, it was done to make the cabs look cleaner and crisper (or whatever). Boston Cab's exterior is still brown and white, but more white than brown. Same with the former Town Taxi...it became a more white than black exterior.

I abandoned cabs for Uber and Lyft too, for this same reason. Plus I was sick of the bad service and attitudes, I got from certain cab drivers. For whatever reason, this is nowhere near as bad of a problem with Uber and Lyft.
