I am currently moving to Chicago, I will need to be close to Downtown near or close to River North preferably but I will move from distance if I can get to Downtown River North in less than 40 minutes. I am just not from the area and from what I hear Chicago has crazy traffic. I am wondering how the traffic will be from 4-5 around that time, I'm assuming real busy?

I am looking for someone place low in budget, possibly even getting a roommate and maybe between $400-$500, but I will pay more if necessary, thanks.

Definitely need a roommate. Plan on taking the CTA. Check out Albany Park, Rogers Park, Avondale areas near transit.

With a roommate for that much you won't get that fun of an area but yeah Avondale rogers park and Albany park might be good option(. You might be able to steal a rent for that much in Logan square, uptown, or pilsen

Try to get a place between the Rogers Park Metra and the L so you have more options to get downtown and elsewhere. Metra is the quickest way to get downtown from the north side. I believe its less than 20 mins from RP to Ogilvie station.

I'm not very familiar with Rogers Park in its entirety, but there may be certain areas that are questionable and still in transition so be sure to ask someone who knows the neighborhood for some insight.
