Oh, good shot.

As an aside, is the new museum for the Cyclorama completed?

This.

The Cubs' popularity nationwide tops the Bears by a long shot, but within IL, its allllll Bears.

Some truth here. Pro sports ( and college sports, to some extent) can be viewed as bread and circuses for the masses, pretty trivial in the long run. I've played everything, and watched everything, but my real interest has waned considerably. I have some nostalgia for some teams from days gone by, but it really doesn't make much difference if the team wearing the blue uniforms beats the the team from NY/LA/Chicago, etc, that has no players originally from that respective city. It's really just entertainment..

The poll results say otherwise, as do the amount of Cub Vs. Bear shirts in this Chicago suburb.

1. The poll wasn't "what's your favorite team?"
2. Which suburb?

Exactly. Plus, it’s laughable to use a C-D poll of 56 people as gospel.

And here I thought Chicago was a huge Hockey town.

I asked my buddy from Chicago and he said Bears but I disagree I say Cubs but MLB is not that big in a lot of the US so he could be right.

1. Had it been, I'd have voted Blackhawks.
2. Elgin.

1. My point was that these poll results are a summary of people's opinions and aren't supporting evidence to actually answer the question. This poll is a derivative of the question you answered with "Blackhawks".
2. Elgin's not a representative sample. If I go to my hometown in the South Suburbs, report that 90% of people's favorite team there is the Sox or the Bears and then come on here and say, "because that is true, that must mean it's true for all of Chicago", I'd have a lot of people calling me an idiot.
