Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on Atrium Village located at 300 West Hill.

A 2-bedroom is around $1200 per month, and it seems like a really good deal.

Security must be good. It is home to one of IL's high elected officials.

I recently came across information on the same apartment and wondered about it myself. I did a search of the forum and found someone asked a similar question. The responses did not comment too much on the actual apartments but it was mentioned Cabrini Green was close by- which might be of concern to some depending on where you are used to living.

How much of Cabrini Green is left? I had a friend, a single white female, who lived in Atrium Village in 1981.

About a third of the residents still live in project buidings around there of which 3-4 high rise buildings still remain occupied, as well as many 1-2 story buildings...There are a bunch of the former residents in mixed income newer properties around there also.

One must not forget the Marshall Field Garden Apartments on Sedgwick. They are fully occupied and basically right next to the Sedgwick stop on the Brown Line. There is a crime cam right across the street from them which should tell you something...

All of the townhouses are still there with no plans to touch them.

A couple friends of mine have a 3 bedroom there and their rent is ridiculously cheap. I've been there a few times, there is nothing special about the place itself but is a killer deal for the location. I believe parking is included also?
