Good morning, all. Master Jay from Milwaukee, here. Currently having a coffee in Lincoln Square. In a bit I'm going to hop some L trains to get to a Family Secrets tour, on how the Chicago Outfit top leaders were indicted, about 10 years ago. It seemed to get great reviews. Has anyone gone on this before? Any thoughts? Thank you. Happy holidays to everyone!- Master Jay

I have not gone on it, but I do remember that my parents hustled themselves from Hyde Park to downtown every day to attend the Family Secrets trial. They found it fascinating. I will be interested to hear what you say about the tour.

Is that the one with Frank Calabrese Jr? Let us know your thoughts. It’s a unique opportunity and fascinating but I have mixed feelings on it. His dad made a career out of murdering people, including the innocent. I assume he takes you to those spots. Knowing a few of them myself, I doubt there’s much to see visually, but it would absolutely be interesting to hear him talk about it all.

Good morning, hands down the BEST tour! Frank Jr. us polite, friendly, informative. He has a wealth of knowledge. He talks about the history of the mob, his own experiences, and actually finds a couple times to throw in a few pieces of humor. What an amazing storyteller! Time goes by quickly! You drive through 3 Little Italy sections. He uses a slide show along with his stories. I did a 1:1 with him for 60 dollars. I also purchased his book from him. It was my Christmas present to myself and more than worth it. I was already read up on the case, the history of it in the city, etc. But this is a unique opportunity, with a personal spin on it. I highly recommend this! Merry Christmas everyone!- Master Jay in Milwaukee

Didn't know this tour existed. I sat in on one day of the trial and it was fascinating. A guy was on the stand giving testimony and even pointed out one of the defendants (just like in the movies!) I remember the defendants seemed so laid back and would even lean over and whisper something in their lawyers ear and chuckle. It was crazy. Glad I got to see what the movie Casino was loosely based on...

People were murdered, maimed and tortured and its appalling that this guy, no matter what his involvement or motivation, profits from this. Just my $.02!

BOBNCHI, I see your point. I guess for me Im glad that he did his time and turned his back on crime to focus in his family. He has a bad case of MS. He figures these tours exist in Chicago. So he started his own. He dies not promote crime. He speaks very clearly in an honest lifestyle, and uses his life experiences to offer the listener, that people can change anything in their life. I appreciate your comment, though, BOBNCHI. Thank you for being open to share, Sir!- Master Jay in Milwaukee
