Its easy to get to the pink line from Berwyn, if you live near Cermak, you can hop on the bus and get there pretty easily. The Pink may be slow but its safer I think than the green line. You can go to the green and blue line from Berwyn too, and it has two Metra stops so I think it has pretty good transportation.

I take the Pink Line all the time (from Central Park) and never found it noticeably slower compared to the other lines I dunno. Maybe it gets slower when you get west of me?

It makes exactly one turn between 18th and Clark/Lake and makes the trip in 10 minutes.

I meant the Damen stop and I've never seen it take 10 minutes from Damen to Clark, not once. Damen to the medical district alone is about 8 minutes. There are 5 stops form 18th st to Lake. That means it would take 2 minutes to get to each stop. The train spends about 1 minute at each stop. That gives you 1 minute to get from one stop to another. No way is that possible.

So I just tracked a Pink Line train on the CTA train tracker. it left the Damen stop at 3:23 and arrived at Polk at 3:27.

It's scheduled to arrive at Clark/Lake at 3:36.

Maybe you're just unlucky?

Yeah, not to pile on but I'm going to concur with this. My trip to the West Loop from Central Park is pretty fast. I mean, it's no Tokyo bullet train but I've not found it to be any slower than any of the other lines.
