Also Texas isn't bad considering it is booming in fact many Illinois residents are moving there.
Except they didn't sack him, he's just not running for re-election.

Because he probably wouldn't win. Unlike Illinois voters, Texas voters don't keep reelecting criminals who exploit their power and fail the people.

Texans would vote for Idi Amin if he had an R by his name on the ballot.

I spent 34 of my years there. Trust me.

Anyway, let them move if they want. Let them find out the property taxes are bad down there too. Quality over quantity.

Except Illinois has high property, sales, gas, registration, tolls and middling income taxes.

Texas had fairly high property taxes in some places but no income taxes.

Yet have you seen BOOMIMG TEXAS DEBT RATIO per person, its Food Stamp % and those on Welfare?

I posted this live Debt Clock in real time. You can go to each States and our National Debt from this too.

Honest and not corrupt Texas that got here fast - https://www.usdebtclock.org/state-de...ebt-clock.html

Corrupt and dishonest Illinois they took many years to get here - https://www.usdebtclock.org/state-de...ebt-clock.html

Check out the Food Stamp recipient total. Though Texas has more people and the unemployed totals. THEN THE DEBT PER PERSON TO vs Illinois.

Texas - $10,803/person
Illinois - $10,205/person

Debt to GDP ratio

Texas - 16.71%
Illinois - 14.33%

Also check out NY State's .....

Just for comparisons and Texas's is increasing despite booming too .
Though it says nothing on corruption done by politicians.
Texas Pension debts are huge too as so many cities and States.

Maybe Texas isn't the State you want use to bolster Rep vs Dem?

4.95% income tax isn't really that high, and the difference between the pay grades here vs. a Houston or Dallas covers that spread. The sales tax in any of the big cities is two cents less than Chicago's, although most nonprepared food items are fully exempt in Texas.

It's peanuts to me compared to not having to run my AC practically 24/7/365. I've had electricity bills in Texas in a 2br apartment for a month in summer that was more than the July and August bills here in my 3br here.

If you have a large family and/or need/want the biggest house you can buy and that is your yardstick for quality of life, then yes, you're better off down there. But that's not me. I lived in a city built for cars for a long time. Then I decided to live in a city built for people.

I don't know. This Justice Department seems to be getting awfully close. Not saying they'll get him but they've gone further than I've ever seen.

Look how many of Daley's lackeys they arrested, fell on their sword, and they never got him. Madigan isn't an idiot, he has henchman do all the dirty work while he shields himself in deniability like a mob boss.

Well we can only hope he slipped up somewhere. In fact that is likely. It's just a matter of how aggressive the Justice Department wants to get. They look like they're not messing around.

My only question is where is our AG in all of this? IL should be embarrassed that it's the hated Trump who's getting something done on this.
