There are studio buildings, and I am interested in finding them or share advice on how to find studios near the red line.

I came here for work, and things are fine. I am working downtown Chicago full-time. But things will be I better when I find an apartment near CTA. I don't drive, and don't want to live where Metra costs more for convenience. I will live car free.

I would like a 600sq apt for $800 near Red Line stops Fullteron,Wilson, Sheridan, Belmont , or Lincoln Park.
- utilities included
- laundry onsite
-with kitchen
- close to Fullerton, Wilson, Sheridan, or Belmont stops

How would you search? Apartments.com? Walking to see #s on the buildings?

I have the rent and deposit, but I just got my first proof of income, another will come January 3rd since I just started this job.

I do not have a pet.
I hope to avoid a broker's fee. Realtors are posting ads on Craigslist.

Most agents charge the fee to the landlord, not the renter - so be sure to inquire about that. Zillow / craigslist / facebook marketplace would be your best bets.

Check out bjb properties. Rented a couple of studios from them. They have decent units all over the city. Heads up. It won't be easy finding a studio for $800 that includes utilities.

I ended up using PPM realty near Belmont. Apartment search agencies have a better selection especially since I was in a hurry.

Thanks
