I'm a 39-year-old straight guy looking to move to Chicagoland after COVID. Looking to be able to live without a car in a safe area and have plenty of dating options with childless, educated women in their 20s & 30s. If suburbs, which one? If city, which neighborhood? Thank you in advance for your help.

In the suburbs, Evanston, Oak Park, Skokie, Forest Park, and perhaps a couple of others are your best bet. Otherwise, the city is still going to be your best bet for both dating and navigating without a car. I personally can't imagine not having a car, but many people do without. My Evanston-based cousin doesn't even have a driver's license.

VitoM2000, ALL I know is:

Chicago has some of the most gorgeous women!! What I would give to be in my 20s, living in Chicago, and re-live my life!

Skokie, or the city, or wherever! LOL

Asian women. Hispanic women.. Middle Eastern women... Caucasian women.... and on and on.

You see one, and think you see an angel. You turn your head or walk 10 steps, and there is ANOTHER one!!!

Consider yourself lucky!

Yes.

I'd recommend Chicago to start. At 39 and with $1.5 to spend, I think your best bet is focusing on areas that hug 90, just west. West Town, Ukrainian Village, Logan Square. The other area that I'd consider is further north, like Roscoe Village or Lincoln Square.

You'll hear or read a lot about Lincoln Park, Old Town, River North, South Loop. And although 39 is by no means "old", these areas are predominantly filled with young professionals or those with luxury budgets.

If you're concerned about dating or a social life then you have to live somewhere in the city, and not on the outskirts. The suburbs are for families with kids.

I'm open to dating women in their 20s.

I agree with this. I would add Rogers Park and the oft-recommended Lakeview, though. So many transplants in the latter if you want to be part of that crowd.
