Chicagoans are actually allowed to blast back.

Lincoln park just seems to have a demographic that feels bad about CCW

I hope you all had a great and safe July 4th!

I rode my bike on the trails on the north side. A very fun day!

So, the tally for the 4th of July weekend is 14 killed and 65 wounded: link to Heyjackass. One homicide less than last year.

https://graphics.suntimes.com/homicides/

SunTimes says 11 fatalities in July so far.

There were 3 on 6/30, which was a Friday.

So if you consider the July 4th weekend a 5 day weekend, then, yes, 14 dead.

Here's a deep question. We know there's 3 big areas where Chicago police officers live. They generally are, O'hare neighborhood, west or southwest of Midway, and the Mt. Greenwood/Morgan Park/Beverly neighborhoods.

But where in Lincoln Park / Lakeview do a lotta CPD officers live? Or better yet what could be the next biggest areas that CPD lives outside the above listed 3. Those 3 areas are also where English/Irish police officers live, where do Italian police officers live?

Because people don't get robbed in cities with republican mayors?

Chicago doesn't even get a mayoral choice of party, ever. The governor or president sure as hell isn't going to stop a desperate idiot from robbing people.
