I agree with all of this post. Things are looking real good for the Bears for the next few seasons at least.
However GMs, coaches and cap space come and go. It's just part of football. Based on this teams track record I am worried they will continue to push out a product that is frustratingly almost good enough.
I am hopeful and rooting for them win or lose.

First off, the Bears are an iconic franchise in the NFL. Always will be.

Second, they have $120M+ in salary cap space for next year - this team will be COMPLETELY different in 2023.

Third, Justin Fields is starting to ball out.

Fourth, this stadium won't be ready for several years, and who knows what the team will look like then.

Do you still live in the Chicago area?

The Bears are 2-3 years away from serious contention, but they have all the right stuff in place to get there, eventually.

Most Bears fans will want an immediate turnaround and get angry. If the Bears go 8-9 next year which is a huge improvement the fans will still say they suck and Fields should be traded and all the coaches fired.

Reality is it will take more than one year.

I predict the Bears will ask for tax giveaways to build the new stadium. Chicago has the power to block it but ultimately agrees in return for giveaways to the city.

The Bears are moving. Does anyone really care? They are awful, let Arlington Heights have them.

I prefer watching bad soccer to woke football at this point.

I think the University of Chicago should re-establish major sports, rejoin the Big Ten, and then play their games in a "rehabbed for college football" Soldier Field.

Just kidding, but I'll bet there are a couple of higher-ups at the U of C have drunken fantasies of exactly this, lol.

2030 B1G football champions sounds a lot better than the place "where fun goes to die."

Chicago doesn't have the money to build a new stadium.

I predict the Bears will get some money from the state & more from the toll highway. Expecting a new exit into the Bears stadium. Also need to redo the I-290 & I 90 junction.
