Sooooooooooooo we're going back to Chicago to do the school tours next. I have the tours lined up for my 2nd and 8th grader but having difficulty for my high school student.

I know there are some great public high schools but my son that's going into the 9th grade next year is ADD, he's a smart kid, an A student but has an IEP to help him with classroom settings like smaller testing areas, permission to record class for notes later, etc etc. I know those public high schools that want the high testing kids won't accommodate him in those areas so we're looking at private schools.

So far we have considered, Gordon Tech, Marist and St, Patrick. We have yet to determine if these are doable because we haven't seen them yet but I want to gather a list and then research from there. 24K a year high schools for one child isn't in our budget, they need to be 10k or less.

Any other suggestions for the Chicago area, within 20 minutes of Bucktown/Lincoln Park?

Your input is appreciated
