Hi all. I did a search about this topic but surprisingly it didn't really turn up anything. Well, we're thinking about buying a home in Chicago and I think I've got a fair picture about the good and bad parts of town. One thing I'm curious about, though, is the level of noise around the airports. I've landed at both airports a number of times and I can't help but notice how low the planes fly over residential neighborhoods. I would think some of those houses would be vibrating! So how bad is it? Around O'Hare I was thinking about Dunning, Portage/Jefferson Park. Around Midway, I thought about Garfield Ridge and Clearing. Thanks!
