Where are the best places in the city to hear DJ's playing eclectic, off the beaten path music? (house)

I'm a DJ and photographer and I'm looking for places in the city or suburbs to spin music. The thing is I don't really play the kind of music found on urban or alternative stations, I also don't play house or techno music so my target audience is a bit hard to find. I play a mix of music ranging from progressive rock to jazz fusion to neo soul to hip hop instrumentals to electronica and a little metal or country depending on the set I'm spinning. I know a lot of clubs and lounges in the city cater to the mainstream radio crowd, so I'm looking for places who have a more diverse audience.

I also do photography so I'd love to be able to showcase some of my work while doing DJ sets. Can anyone point out a few places that an oddball like myself might be able to check out?
