look at 525 W. Hawthorne place
This condo is on a historic street in chicago right next to million dollar homes and a great private school for your kids.

Its also one of the best walking areas by that I mean you can walk along the lake and the shops/restaurants in Lakeview.

Its also one of the safest neighborhoods in Chicago. I have seen many young couples with their kids walking their dogs in the area.

Several of the top-rated schools in the State are located on the Northwest Side of the city. Oriole Park School, Norwood Park School, Sauganash, and Ebinger are all highly ranked and located on the northwest side of the city.

These are lovely areas with good access to transportation (cta, metra, and expressway), and they have plenty of parks for kids to play in and a range of affordably priced, as well as luxury condos.

I think you might want to check your numbers. Just about all the highly rated CPS offerings are selective enrollment / merit admission, and even then many of the schools do not compare well on a state-wide basis. While some of the schools cited have good numbers for a Chicago Public School they certainly cannot hold a candle to even average schools in many other communities. I think that people who are unaware of this and/or deliberately do not disclose this to people relocating a very distorted picture of education in the Chicago region.

I think this is VERY important to understand, for anyone that is moving to the area/ not yet enrolled the selective CPS schools are probably not an option...
