Beverly, Hyde Park, and Kenwood have some very impressive detached houses... Can't argue with that!

Every time I go to Jackson Park Highlands it is more impressive than I remember. Not Kenwood but there are a lot of very beautiful homes there. Sad that it's surrounding by such rough areas. Somehow it has managed to stay in pretty good shape.

Are the Jackson Park Highlands in Jackson Park or South Shore? Because South Shore has some stunning homes too--but that's all sort of contiguous, is it not?

It is part of South Shore.THe highest concentration of really cool homes, but there are many others I agree. My favorite house in the city is right on the water at the end of 71st street, just down the street from the Cultural Center entrance. I don't believe there is any other house like it in the city.
