Hopefully it's the start of a turnaround!

Sox outscore the Twins by 9 runs in the series, have a lead in each game in the 8th inning or later, AND lose a game in the standings.

The Fire played a hard-fought match tonight, but still came away with a 4-3 loss. Oh well. Ljundberg's cross and Conde's ensuing header were nice, but still overshadowed by Houston's Ching's amazing 2nd goal of the night. That goal right there might win Goal Of The Year. Watch.

I'm thinking I'm wrong on this. The Sox have lost 2 out of 3 in their last 5 series. (@ Baltimore, Minnesota, Detroit, @ Minnesota, @ Kansas City). When you lose 2 out of 3 to teams like Baltimore, Detroit, and KC that doesn't bode well for your playoff hopes.

Well, if the Twinkies do win the division, I hope the Yankees kick their butts!

I note the lack of enthusiasm follow up - we definitely saw the same game.

btw, anyone see the CHicago Magazine with Sammy whining about how the Cubs threw him under the bus?

As if anyone who wasn't legally blind couldn't see that he & McGuire were both jacked to the gills on roids, not sure what he expected... still a fun summer, though.

The one person that deserves to be called Sammy has a last name Davis.

Everyone's thoughts of Sweet Lou retiring before the season even ends? He claims that he has to go home and take care of his mother, but there aren't any other people that can do that for him? I feel like there is another side to the story.
