well, I think the Bobby Jenks era as closer for the WhiteSox is officially over. The kid had a good run, but I really don't want to see him out there in the 9th inning anymore.

I don't know what's going on in his head, but he has become "Bobby Jinx". If he needs to get in some work, bring him in only with a 5+ run lead.

They did not trade him. They did not want to pay the piper in arbitration that is all. They could get Turco for half the price and they did. Turco's numbers are basically the same as Niemi's.

Yeah, but we allegedly traded away Byfuglien so we'd have salary cap room for Niemi.

I hope it works out, but this town has a history of owners dismantling championship teams to eke out more profit.
