Well, every single week I marinate about 7 pounds of chicken, and this for decades.

I have experimented using all kinds of marinade, and after all the work, the best marinade is what I began with, well, for montery chicken that is, Hawaiian chicken.

Worcestershire sauce, pinapple juice and wine.

It desnt matter what wine you use, I use a cheap peach wine, and my mom always used Marsala wine, but most any wine works.

If you have ever been to a Steak and Ale or a Bennigan's and ordered the Hawaiian chicken, that's the 3 basic ingredients.

I dont even like talking about Steak and Ale, I used to eat there almost every day and nobody in the world could come close to their salad buffet, O God I miss it, best steaks in Texas, and nobody could compete with the chicken.

Hawaiian marinated chicken, yup.

After experimenting with everything under the sun, those 3 stand alone.

Well, dont even get me started on bourbon chicken marinade.

I just back from the chicken getting store, how bout you?

Isnt it time we all marinated some chicken?

Just a reason to break out the pit, hot as you can with fire dancing on the half breast. I am a real bird man, If you are what you eat the most, I would be a bird.

I wonder, is there something evil with eating a chicken?

Is eating chickens wrong?

If you have no problem with me eating chickens, what about sparrows?

Whole marinated sparrows barbecued to perfection?

Of course my favorite is sandhill cranes, aint no no better bird, and you really feel like you are shooting ribeye steaks out of the sky, its been too long.

Yup, its steak.

I LOVED Steak and Ale. Was sad when they all closed up. Used to go there with my mom, my older brother, his daughter, and mine. Now my bro and mom are gone and the girls are in their 30s.

My mom and dad were at a Houston Steak and Ale when masked gunmen came in with uzis, they said it was surreal because people thought it was a skit, and everyone was told to stay in their seats when a man got up and was.killed.

But yea, NOTHING ever came close to Steak and Ale to our family, back then we were wealthy, ate there 3 nights a.week at least, but dang, will there ever be a rival when it came to the salad bar?

The best steaks, lobster and chicken but the salad bar was to die for, and the atmosphere OMG.

It was a good salad bar. And don't forget the little whole loaf of warm pumpernickel bread on the wooden board.

Let's reopen the chain or one just like it. Flavius and Queen.

Or The Mighty Hannibal Steak House.

Now you stop that right now, you are so wicked naughty, bad enough that I had completely forgotten how they brought the loaves, OMG, I had seriously forgotten one of the best things, but then you gotta kindly turn me on like that, tempting me in your wildly ways with my own fantasy dreams, my own steak house, why, I aughta feel abused, you wicked, wicked Goddess, its not fair, just cause you can read minds doesnt mean you should, now I feel naked.

I know, what we could call it, " Queeny's burnt offerings and Wine."

The food of Gods and Godesses, come if you are worthy.

Our policy would be as the French, the customer is always wrong, and if they even ask for ketchup, security will escort them to the door, and point them to dairy Queen

We would be known for our intoletance like the soup Nazi, anything might set us off.

Keep thinking about that dark brown soft hot loaf now Queeny, with the butter, I mean, you cant even recreate that, you cant buy it at the store, not here anyway, that was the best bread and butter wasnt it, and you cant get better than that, a perfect restaurant.

I haven't seen a single popcorn or irony image in a long time.

That is pretty awful. Oh my gosh.

The worst thing to happen to me in a steak house was when I was in elementary or so we went to steak house with a buffett across the border into Pennsylvania called "Hoss's" and I filled my plate up like a mountain at the buffett part and as I walked back to my seat I tripped and spilled everything. There was food everywhere. Supposedly, president Eisenhower use to eat there, don't know how true that is.

Do you ever bake? I love to make apple pies. Keeps my husband in line!

If it is a girl...I am thinking Mary for a name. Maybe Alice or Rebecca. All of those names have meaning to me...Mary for the mother of Jesus, plus it is a lovely name on its own. How goofy silly would it be to have a nursery with "lamb" stuff and a little girl named Mary!

If it is a boy...I like Robbie, but my husband doesn't. Maybe Timothy.

Not specifically. We honestly just like the name. The fact that it is also the name of a great saint was a bonus
