God is cracking up right now ... I just know it.

The Reverent Fear of God

[from the Amplified]
Rev 15:4 Who shall not reverence and glorify Your name, O Lord [giving You honor and praise in worship]? For You only are holy. All the nations shall come and pay homage and adoration to You, for Your just judgments (Your righteous sentences and deeds) have been made known and displayed.

Psalm 64:9 And all men shall [reverently] fear and be in awe; and they will declare the work of God, for they will wisely consider and acknowledge that it is His doing.

Psalm 147:11 The Lord takes pleasure in those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy and loving-kindness.

Psalm 145:19 He will fulfill the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them.

Prov 8:13 The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord [includes] the hatred of evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way, and perverted and twisted speech I hate.

Psalm 97:10 Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Do you understand what this is saying?

To reverence the Lord is to love the Lord and hate evil. God saves those who fear Him - those who fear Him place their hope in His loving-kindness. God saves those who revere Him.

Who will reverently fear the Lord? Answer: ALL MEN.
Who will God save? Answer: ALL MEN.

Its good news that will bring great joy to all people!

confess - exomologeō [G1843]:

1) to confess
2) to profess
a) acknowledge openly and joyfully
b) to one's honour: to celebrate, give praise to
c) to profess that one will do something, to promise, agree, engage

Rev 5:13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:
"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!"
In Rev 5:13 the word which has been translated as 'singing' in some translations is legontas and is not 'singing', but rather is 'saying'. Legontas - Strong's number G3004.

For the various NASB word usages for Legontas click on the following link...

Strong's Greek Dictionary: 3004. legó

As for the Greek word exomologeó, it is from ek and homologeo and means to acknowledge or (by implication, of assent) agree fully -- confess, profess, promise.

For the NASB word usage, click here...

Strong's Greek Dictionary: 1843. exomologeó

Even in the definitions which you provided, the first definition was simply 'to confess'. Not all the different definitions apply in a given situation.

Unbelievers will simply acknowledge or confess that Jesus is Lord. They will not to so joyfully as believers do. They will make the acknowledgement in fear as a defeated enemy of the Lord of the universe.

Didn't you say, previously, that confession of Christ is salvation? Now you seem to want more? I think you are defeating your purpose here...

Yet somehow the confession of Christ by ALL is not enough? When will you realize that God is not a respecter of persons? ALL will come to him!

Good thread Mike555,

The Bible never indicates that after the knee bows and the tongue confesses, the wicked who are being judged after their physical life, will be the recipient of salvation or correction. God bless.

No. I did not say that. I have always said that placing your trust, your confidence, your faith, in other words to believe in Christ is necessary for salvation. The demons are not placing their faith in Christ for salvation. They simply recognize that He is the Son of God.

To believe in Christ means that you must know that He is God, and that you must know what He did on the Cross, and that you must know the result of what He did. And then based on all that, to place your trust in Him to provide salvation.

All will not come to Christ. Even in the Millennium when the resurrected Jesus is physically on the earth ruling from the throne of David and with the earth full of the knowledge of the Lord, the number of people who reject Him will be as the sand of the seashore. Revelation 20:7-9.

He made PEACE with things in HEAVEN and earth at the cross AFTER the encounters with these spirits! This is completely biblical.

Reconciling his "fallen."

A lesson of sorts? So that His wisdom would be made manifest to ALL of creation!!!

It says that every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. The scriptures show that the ONLY way you can confess that Jesus is Lord is via the Holy Spirit. That means that all of those tongues that are confessing have the Holy Spirit.

1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

[1] Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
[2] It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
[3] As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
