Phil 2:10 states the following: that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11] and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Universalists like to use Phil 2:10 as a proof verse to support their claim that all men will be saved. Some even say that the demons will be saved. Below are some passages which show that during the Lord's first advent on the earth, the demons were compelled to acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God. They were afraid that Jesus was going to send them into the abyss before the time, where they would be tormented. The demons know that their time is short. They know that they are going to end up in the lake of fire (which is different than the abyss). The demons have no illusions as to their future fate.

When Jesus Christ was present on the earth and encountered demons, they were compelled to fall down before Him in recognition of who He is. Mark 3:11 'And whenever the unclean spirits beheld Him, they would fall down before Him and cry out, saying, ''You are the Son of God!'' 12] And He earnestly warned them not to make Him known.

Luke 8:26 'And they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. 27] And when He had come out onto the land, He was met by a certain man from the city who was possessed with demons: and who had not put on any clothing for a long time, and was not living in a house, but in the tombs. 28] And seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, ''What do I have to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me.'' (This was the Engastrimuthos Demon speaking though the man). 29] For He had been commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had seized him many times; and he was bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard; and yet he would burst his fetters and be driven by the demon into the desert. 30] And Jesus asked him, ''What is your name?'' And he said, ''Legion'' for many demons had entered him. 31] And they were entreating Him not to command them to depart into the abyss.

Matthew 28 'And when He had come to the other side into the country of the Gadrenes two men who were demon-possessed met Him as they were coming out of the tombs; they were so exceedingly violent that no one could pass by that road. 29] And behold, they (the demons) cried out, saying, ''What do we have to do with You, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?''

James 2:19 'You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

As it is with the demons, so it will be with unbelieving humanity. All who have died in rejection of Jesus Christ as Savior will be compelled to acknowledge finally His authority as Lord, but they will do so in fear and in defeat. They will recognize before they go into the lake of fire that Jesus is the Son of God.

The demons are smart enough to know that their eternal future is in the eternal fire (Matthew 25:41). Unfortunately, many people are not willing to believe the word of God with regard to the fact that those members of the human race who reject Christ will share the same fate (Matthew 25:46).

Phil 2:11 And [that] every tongue should confess [G1843] that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

confess - exomologeō [G1843]:

1) to confess
2) to profess
a) acknowledge openly and joyfully
b) to one's honour: to celebrate, give praise to
c) to profess that one will do something, to promise, agree, engage

Rev 5:13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:
"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!"

Rev 15:44 Who will not fear you, O Lord,
and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed."

NIV Psalm 145:9 The LORD is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made.

10 All you have made will praise you, O LORD;
your saints will extol you.

KJV Psalm 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

Psalm 145:17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and loving toward all he has made.

18 The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.

19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.

He fulfills the desires of those who fear him. He hears their cry and saves them.

I have not compared demons with people as such. But rather, their respective fates. The fate of demons and unsaved humanity is the same. Eternity in the lake of fire. This is clearly recorded in the Scriptures.

Here are the facts of the matter:

1. It is a simple study to show that aion/aionios and hell are mistranslated/misinterpreted in most English bibles.

2. God desires to save all people.

3. All people will desire to be saved - every knee will bow and every tongue will confess and even swear allegiance to Jesus as Lord.

4. Therefore all will be saved.

Its good news that will bring great joy to all people!

However there are few that are chosen to understand this right now...
