Actually the point is to see what can be demonstrated using only scripture and no outside commentary to explain what it "means".
If it is not interesting to you, move on, I am enjoying myself, perhaps you and some others need to find something so you can do the same.

Plus the bible is such a convoluted collection of disconnected thoughts, by many authors, the only thing they are exhibiting is that they can cherry pick passages that support their point of view. Might as well use a dictionary.
Today, with computers that doesn't even exhibit knowledge of the bible, but merely the ability to use the computer to search.
