12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Father, Bless Your Holy Word, in Jesus precious Name...Amen.
When you rebel and disobey God it is because you CHOOSE to disobey God. No one can make you disobey Him. When you rebel and fail to walk in obedience to God's Word, it is not because you do not have the power over sin, or because you have no control over your actions. It is because you yield your will to disobey.
You willfully reject God's will and assert your own will.
You willfully reject His Word.
You willfully oppose God and His authority.
You willfully disregard the blood of Jesus that has made it possible for you to have the power over sin and walk in obedience to God.
In the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had a choice...to obey God's command not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and enjoy the blessings that were theirs in the garden of Eden; OR to disobey God, forfeit their blessings and die. Satan had absolutely no power over them to make them disobey. Adam and Eve yielded their wills. They rebelled...they willfully chose to disobey.
The children of Israel were given a choice...to obey God's commandments and enjoy the blessings He had promsed in the covenant; OR to disobey, forfeit the promises and reap the curses. The children of Israel yielded their wills. They rebelled. They chose to disobey. They willfully turned their backs on God, rejected His voice and followed their own wills. Time after time God pleaded with Israel. Yet, they refused to hear Him; they hardened their hearts and chose instead to follow their own way. They rebelled. Instead of taking possession of their inheritance and the blessings of God, they chose the curses and death.
YOU ALSO HAVE A CHOICE!!!
To obey God, live in victory, enjoy His blessings and inherit eternal life...OR!...To disobey God, live in defeat, forfeit His promises and be punished with everlasting destruction. Your will is a powerful force which determines the course of your life. No one can take it from you. Satan cannot cross the boundaries of your will. He cannot make you sin, neither does he have the power to stop you from obeying God. You alone are responsible for your own actions. You alone have the power over your own will.
Since the power of sin has been broken in our lives and we have been given the power to obey, we must not allow sin to exert its power over us. Paul told the Romans, in essence, that "You have power over sin; DO NOT allow sin to have dominion over you...to make you yeild to it. You have the power over sin; stop yeilding yourselves to sin and yeild yourselves to God!"
PAUL WAS TELLING US THAT THE CHOICE IS OURS!!!
Since Satan has no power over our wills and cannot make us disobey God, his strategy is to gain control of our wills by tricking, tempting and deceiving us into yeilding to him through disobedience. His strategy is to try to cause us to use our wills to REBEL!...to oppose God, reject His will and assert our own wills against Him.
Satan knows that if he can cause us to walk in rebellion and disobedience our communication with God will be hindered, we will forfeit the covenant promises of God, live in defeat and reap the penalty of death...REFUSE TO LISTEN TO SATAN'S LIES!!!
God has already paid the ultimate price...He sent His only Son Who had made it possible for you to ive a life of obedience: "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..." (Hebrews 2:3).
In Christs love...prayerfully in His truth,
Verna.

This is a GREAT message, and I agree 100%. The Apostle Paul was right: we are indeed each given a choice: we get to choose whom we will serve: God, or the flesh. We aren't "robots", we get to decide for ourselves...
No doubt some here will say that no, that is all wrong, that we don't have a choice, because we weren't "chosen" like the Apostle Paul was , or some such off-the-wall nonsense. What does it matter if we were "chosen" or not, we still get to decide for ourselves: follow God, or follow after the flesh.

Like it or not, this OP is the plain truth...

Amen !!!
Yes, I agree with you......
Let us rejoice in His faithfulness...... He is God—and He has given us promises He will keep us.
He will protect us from every enemy (sin) who comes against us..... amen ?
I Cor.10:13
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
James 1:12-18 12. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
God Bless !!
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’ (Revelation 2:7)
Of course you can believe not everything is possible with God.
Phl 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
AV Phl 2:11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1C 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Mt 19:25 When his disciples heard [it], they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
Mt 19:26 But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
No one has yet to explain what the plan of God is in your daily life...
