Indeed, the scriptures speak specifically of the spirit of Pharaoh(Gen 41:8) ...

Many people do indeed twist the scriptures to validate their prefered beliefs. However, there is only one correct interpretation of something that is revealed in the Bible. It is human nature that is at fault for causing confusion. Not the Bible. Yes, some things are harder to understand then others. But many people are not interested in what is actually revealed in the Bible, only in supporting what they already believe. And they will not be swayed from what they choose to believe. For them it is 'don't bother me with the facts.'
Purely for the sake of discussion lets assume for a moment that the bolded part is correct. Are you sure that your interpretation is the correct one, after all, as you stated, you are also human, and also suffer from the malady of human nature

Yeah, the above verse does throw a wrench in the whole idea that people who are not Christian have no spirits.
No it doesn't.

The Greek word translated as Spirit is Pneumatos. It also means wind, and breath.

The Greek word translated as Soul is Psuche. It also means life, self, breath of life.

Both words have in their range of meanings - breath.

Okay, so according to you, the word "pneuma" in this verse only means breath?

While in every other place it means spirit literally?

Whatever it takes to make the scriptures fit your understanding.

Hades is not the grave.

Those who care to can go into this old thread of mine, where that has been covered.

Dead souls know nothing in the grave. That's the Bible, although you disagree and call the writers of the Bible liars.

From L. Ray Smith - Exposing Those Who Contradict

Because of the shameful way these words are translated and interchanged in the Authorized Version, it is nearly impossible to understand their true meanings without an exhaustive concordance.

I don't need to wade through a bunch of posts when I got the Word of God. It is clearly the grave and interpreted the Grave often.

Here is everywhere that Hades is used:

It is always just a matter of time until the URs come in and start cramming UR down every one's throats, no matter what the topic of the thread was.
