Yes I believe Jesus dies on the cross.
Many christians I know say he dies on the cross but when pressed say, well his body dies but his spirit went to hell to preach to those imprisoned.
I believed that Jesus died and was dead. He emptied himself of his heavenly powers and glory so he could die( A little lower than the angels).
Many people believe only the flesh body die but our soul survives. If this was the case no need for ressurection for we are still alive in spirit. I believe than dead is dead and our only hope is ressurection. Many passages in the Bible state that when the body dies and the breath returns to God out thoughts cease at that time, and we are in Sheol.the unseen and unpercieved. Our soul needs resserection to live again.
