But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption,
For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.

2 Peter 2:1;4;12;18

Well, quoting scriptures doesn't signify a hill of beans.

However, just to satify your lust for scripture:

"Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again." Matt.27

"And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people." John 7

"46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. 47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?
48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed." John 7

Again I ask: If you don't believe that God desires to teach you directly TODAY, how will you ever hear His Voice??

Blessings,
brian

They that are led by the Spirit of God will be called the sons of God. We must be clear, the Spirit does not abolish the law - it fulfills it (in us). We do not throw it out, we are to live it by the Spirit.

And yes, He is alive today.

Yes: they who are LED by the SPIRIT, not sitting around quoting scriptures.

The letter killeth, the Spirit giveth Life.

May we all learn to hear Him today!

Brian, I really do not appreciate your sarcasm and false accusations by which only proves who you really are.... a false teacher !! It angers you because I will not listen to your false proclamations..... of God and expose them with truth, GOD'S WORD !!!

This is the word of God..... "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'"

Now your argument is with God AND your judgment of my heart will stand before God one day..... guaranteed !!

Calm down... getting angry won't help us grow at all.

"Every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God?" Indeed! That is precisely my point. We must listen to God talking to us today! Or do you think that God isn't talking to anyone?

But if you don't want to listen, then how will you ever hear...?

Blessings,
brian

"Well, quoting scriptures doesn't signify a hill of beans."

Tell that to Jesus, by which who quoted the word of God the Father against Satan who was tempting Him to turn away and listen to him (satan).....
Matthew 4:1-10
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.
3 And the tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'"
5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,
'HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU';
and
'ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP,
SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.'"
7 Jesus said to him, "On the other hand, it is written, 'YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.'"
8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory;
9 and he said to Him, "All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me."
10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go, Satan! For it is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.'"
11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.

You are doing the same...... tempting people to turn away from the word of God and to listen to your imaginations rather then God.... and when they will not it angers you so you then turn to insulting them and telling them they worship God's word rather then God and all the other things you have falsely accused other's of....... by which does not intimidate me at all because I know the Lord Jesus and what He says about people who teach and say the dangerous things by which you are doing......
The Lord calls them doctrines of demons.....

We are told by the Spirit of God too......

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
(Ephesians 6:10-18)

Without Him we are nothing...... period ! And that means His word also !! Jesus is the word by which He teaches, guides, protects, all things for the believer in Him.... there is nothing new that Jesus is telling us, it is all in the scripture what He wants for us to live and know..... through His Holy Spirit in whom enables us to walk in.....

You've said nothing new here, CM.

The scriptures are not what gives us Life. You can search them all you want, and you think they have life in them, because they testify of God. But you don't know the Father simply because you study scripture. Knowing God goes beyond scripture.

Spouting scripture after scripture makes no difference. Even satan spouts scripture like you do, you demonstrated it yourself.

By quoting scripture but not listening to God in your heart, you merely walk in the footsteps of the pharisees. (Yet obviously you cannot see it.)

If you don't HEAR Him speaking to you, what else can I tell you?

So if you post from your heart, I will answer you; but spouting endless scriptures is useless, and doesn't merit a response. It is none other than a devil tactic.

Let me know if you want to talk honestly.

Blessings,
brian

Brian, God doesn't speak to you when you read the Bible? For me, every single time I read it, He speaks to me and changes me and I grow.

Yes, sometimes He speaks to me while reading.

But I know that if I didn't have a Bible to my name, I'd probably know Him even better. (THAT is what is meant by "every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God--- not just what has been written down!)

Jesus didn't have a degree or experience in studying scripture. He walked and talked with the Father. Period. And when it was necessary for Him to use a scripture, the Father put those words into His mouth.

Not like today, where many people study and study, but can't hear His Living Voice in their hearts!

So scripture can indeed blind us. But God's Voice will never lead us astray, if we "trust and obey.."

I've seen preachers lead people astray, all the while using scripture very stealthfully.

I could name a few big ones...

Blessings,
brian
