"For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—
living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry."
A sin (if not fleed from) results in damnation Ephesians 5:5
"For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person
such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God."

The good news is that God provides the solution to it. (These aren't suggestions)
1 John 5:21
Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.
Just be sure to make a distiction between the act and the person. You can be gay and otherwise right with God if you don't sin: that is don't have gay sex. It is the act that is the sin, not the predisposition.
Some people are predisposed, for example, to addiction. That is one thing. But to induldge oneself in said addition is the sin.

Amen and very well said. Sin must be resisted by the Spirit of God that dwells within the born again. Temptations will come, but his/her strongest weapons of spiritual warfare are the Word of God and the blood of the Lamb. Use them by faith and have victory over the devil.
In this day and age (the days of Noah, Sodom and Gomorrah mixed all together), the devils are raging throughout the world, so the born again will have to walk very close to the Lord with strict disciple to overcome; this takes consecrated faith -- which has nothing to do with feelings.

"call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you..." Psalm 50:15
"call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12
Pray to God for the strength to resist:
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Jesus promises removal of the burden of idolatry:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
I believe that is a sin..because the bible says so..
My bestfriend he is a guy is gay..I love him dearly
I also believe having sex with someone is also a sin
You should only be having sex with your married partner
I have sex with my boyfriend
So who am I to say look your sinning your gay?
When I myself am also sinning with sex outside of marriage
My friend has to answer to God ...just like I do.

Two kinds of people come to mind for the "I do not know you". Those whom you mention and those who chose to ignore the parts of the Bible that name certain other behaviors as displeasing to God.
Twin simply quoted scripture.
Thanks Mr5150.
Just how more loving can God call some than "dear children" 1 John 5:21
... and yet accusations of "self-righteous legalistic" \ "my interpretation".
No, it's not my interpetation. God desires that his children keep away from idolatry and it's for a purpose.
Your body (any humans) is not your own to use as a self gratification tool.
What God finds destestable Leviticus 18:22 is a sin that is chosen 1 Peter 4:3 and being that it is idolatry,
we are to honor God in a behavior that pleases God.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you, whom you have received from God?
You are not your own; you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Gods word says a lot of things, you have presented an interpretation that you accept, it is what we all do, it's as simple as that.
Your statement above is simply a fallacy that asserts that anything you state is absolute truth and you cannot be wrong.
That could be true, but equally that could be true about what I believe.
Exactly....it's an interpretation and everything is subject to that. Homosexuality may be a sin but it's no worse than any other sin and it gets really old seeing these threads about it and the judgmentalism that accompany them.
