We read in Romans 3: 20 - 26. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference; For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; Whom God hath set forth to be propitiation through faith in his blood, do declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are
past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. I quote again,
In Romans 3:24-26. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, throughthe forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
(The word past through, does not mean that God has not forgotten our sins. What did God desire for man?)
I Timothy 2:4. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth? So that God desired to save us, to spend eternity with Him, and to demonstrate his glory and his love for us.
Ephesians 1:5. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. This means if we accept Jesus Christ as our savior, he predetermines we will become the sons and daughters of the living God.
Ephesians 1:6. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. God has something much greater in store for us.
Ephesians 2:6 -7. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. God is saying he saved us because he loved us and wants us to be in heavenly places. As we read further in
Ephesians 2:7. That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. This means he will make us living trophies of all mighty God to reach down in the heart of sinful man and redeemed us and saved us, this is God showing his awesome love for all eternity, Forever and ever and ever. This is a demonstration of God’s mercy, grace, and of his love for us. For the justice of God is righteousness, for he is holy and righteous, he has no sin in him, it is his nature to be holy, pure and righteous.
Deuteronomy 32:3 -4. because I will publish the name of the Lord; ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect; for all his ways are judgment; a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. So how can we stand in front of a just God, with our sinful nature? We can’t! So how can a God that is just and righteous and we as humans, sinful in nature, can God forgive sin?
Romans 6:23. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 3:23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. For God is so holy he cannot look upon sin, he must be separated from sin.
