You should bring this matter to the attention of the local church leaders.

Actually, he is not the church pastor, but, a teacher in an afternoon Bible study sponsored by the church.
Since the information was confidentially revealed, I believe that it is the responsibility of the individual (if he is honest and ethical, which I believe he is) ... to reveal his leanings to the church leadership. When I confronted him with this, he agreed to do so, and, in the meantime, to NOT press any part of his belief in the Universalism doctrine as part of his teaching. Since I am participating in the study and have opportunity to express/present other information, I am able to monitor what is going on.
For now, I believe the situation is under control, but, am watching carefully to see what comes next. We are still a long way from the 'Lake of Fire' and other non-Universalism Revelation teachings..but, I'm trying to look at this ethically, rather than doctrinally. (In the case of the latter, even the overall Great Tribulation is a 'stretch' ... without addressing the bigger picture of what is going on (... the final separation of the lost and the saved).. But, thus far, he is sticking to his agreement.
