There is nothing wrong with quoting the Bible chuckmann. It is telling someone would come here and make is sound like it is a bad thing.
That's not what she's saying (and you know that).
It's when people cannot have a conversation without quoting. It's when people cannot tell you anything about their own Christian belief in their own words--all they can do is quote the Bible. Drives me NUTS, and IMO, there's probably not much that would repel a non-believer faster than someone who seems to only be able to communicate their faith by repetitious, zombie-like quotation in lieu of heartfelt conversation.

Me too, but I understand the reason for it. I sometimes describe myself and the guy with the jukebox mind. I like to quote song lyrics to express my feelings and viewpoints

I did NOT say that. You took my response out of context. Go back and recreate the original posts and my response, which was basically humorous.
PS I agree with MightyQueen. If I were to respond to every discussion here by quoting lyrics from songs from the 60's, you'd think I was a weirdo. It is a fair question: why cant some people have a conversation without every word out of their mouths being chapter and verse?

Hahaha, I do that, too.
As an example, I might go in to work tomorrow morning and start singing the Boomtown Rats' "I Don't Like Mondays"
Hey, I'm TRYING to get out on a mental disablity, but they just keep giving me more responsibility.
And the bizarre part is that the "thees" and "thous" were the informal version of "you" that one would use when speaking to, say, a child. "You" and "Yours" was more formal and respectful.
Now the Thees and Thous are ONLY ever heard in prayers to God, who must think we are linguistic morons. But forgives us for that, of course.

If Bible quotes drive you nuts, then the last place you want to come to is the Christianity board. Your reaction to Bible verses resembles the reaction a vampire has to sunlight. The prefer the darkness.
John 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

Yes, it would be weird, considering this is a Christianity discussion board, not a 60's music board. But then again, if you want to quote music, then knock yourself out. I won't cry about it. I'll just put you on ignore.
You people sound like a vegetarian who walks into a steak house to whine about all the meat dishes on the menu.

Well this is the Christianity forum. Christianity is based on the words in the bible..It is hard to tell someone about Christ or to answer questions about Him without quoting the bible as the source.
There are things I don't particularly care for in how one expresses their beliefs or their attitude towards others with different opinions, but usually the things I like about that person far outweigh any of my own little quirks about him..
