The God who is more than enough, the God whose mercy endures forever, the God whose Grace over abounds over sin, the God whose love is beyond comprehension is far more wonderful than you could ever imagine or think.

So why do so many think God will be such a bad Judge and let everyone off at the end?

Hi Jimmy,

What's your idea of "letting everyone off".
And what is your idea of God being a good judge?

thanks,
sparrow

There's "many" people who believe all sorts of different things.....the only standard we can truly have is: What does God's Word teach? That's what I like about the video from Francis Chan. As the OP says, God is so far above what we can imagine or think. And it's true....when we try to reason "like God" we are, in essence, setting ourselves up AS gods...and that's so flawed.

It's not my idea. Some think God will not hold them accountable for their sin and disbelief. I think God will judge fairly and correctly.

I agree about God' s word. It was given to us for a reason. We can always know if something or someone is of God depending on if it agrees with God's word or not.

Jimmy,

What I'm asking you is for clarification of what you wrote.

You said "letting everyone off at the end"? What does that mean?

And what does "God judging fairly and correctly" look like to you?

Because He cannot help being merciful, and mercy always triumphs over judgement. If only we could see we are actually getting away with nothing for we reap what we sow and eat the fruit of our lips.
