The so called crescent moon is not a Christian concern , as this is more of a Jewish or Muslim interest ........ The only moon Christians have is a metaphor moon which a vision of God has His foot on from Revelation 12...... which means the authority He rules which He puts His foot on the moon as a foot stool ....... All other uses of Holy days a Sabbath are legalism ideas and have no concern with Christianity

I wouldnt say those that keep the Sabbath days are legalistic, since they are days in the bible in which God said were his days and not just for the Jews. Most Christians make a fuss that CHristmas and Easter are a mandatory must and those 2 days are not in the bible. SO feast days can be for any follower of Christ.

What im against is people that places curses and damnation on Christians if they dont keep the Feast Days.

A few questions to consider:

Verse 17: After the second coming, will there be people on the earth who refuse to worship God or who fail to worship Him at certain required times?
Verse 18: After the second coming, will there be a literal nation of Egypt?
Verse 18: After the second coming, will there still be heathen on the earth?
Verse 21: After the second coming, will people offer sacrifices to God?
There are scriptures that indicate during the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ on this earth which will precede the Coming of God the Father to this earth, that 'Yes' would be the correct answer to the questions above.

The Headquarters of the soon coming Kingdom of God will be in Jerusalem and the Law will go forth and the heathen people will be given a chance to be in the Kingdom of God as the will during the Great White Throne Judgment at the end of the Millennium where people who lived and died never knowing of Christ will be given a chance to receive God's Holy Spirit and become begotten and given a chance to be born again as Spirit beings in God's Family.

The Passover was so important in ancient Israel, that if one failed to keep it at it's appointed time (14th of the 1st Month) that one was required to keep it on the 14th of the 2nd month.

To properly keep the Passover at its appointed time you must know when is the New Moon and the 1st day of the 1st month of the Sacred Year.

New Testament Christians are told to take the Passover (with the new symbols added -- the Bread and Wine) each year by Christ Himself.

So knowing when the New Moon occurs is crucial to be in synch the Holy Days and Festivals of God which Christ and the early apostles kept. Even though the sighting of a crescent moon after it makes conjunction with the Sun has been replaced by astronomical data to determine this time and the Jews have rules of postponement that may delay the observing of the new moon, we are still bound to the new moons in God's true New Testament Church as ancient Israel and as Christ and the early apostles were.

Many of the added traditions in modern Christianity today are based on pagan sun worship even though not realized by many of its followers and has rejected God's true Holy Days written down for all to see in the very Word of God.

I would hope that Christianity would turn from this mistake but the Scriptures indicate that will not be the case until Christ returns.

So, a warning is all that can be given. God allows one to choose which way to go -- in line with the Scriptures of in line with this present evil world. I say go with the Scriptures. Christ and early apostles did and we are to follow their lead.

Trusting what Jews do isnt going to help you either
-They changed God's true name from YHWH/YAHWEH to LORD or Adoni
-Many dont believe in Jesus at all, which is why many follow the Talmud instead of the bible
-The bible no where speaks of a new moon being the crescent of a moon, but rather the full moon
Psalm 81:3
3 Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon,
At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.

-The current Jews in Israel are not the orignal Jews from the bible, but just people who migrated south and took over the land. Does anything in Duet 28 match or resemble what the current Jews there have through or describes them

Revelation 3:9(NKJV)
9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

You are correct, we should follow biblical traditions, not religious traditions.

I am not saying the Jews are 100% correct in what they believe and teach but as far as preserving the scriptures, the seven day week, the Holy Days we owe them much for without ancient Israel there would be no Christianity today for Christ came from the tribe of Judah and was sent to His own people and not to the Gentiles as the scriptures reveal.

ps

there is a great difference between Christians at the time of Christ and early apostles and the Christians we see today with all their pagan rites and practices that they have allowed into their lives when the Bible commands them to come out of the world and be separate.

Psa 81:3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

It will be a crescent moon on the Feast of Trumpets. Note this particular Holy Day occurs on the 1st day of the 7th month.

The 8th month of the sacred calendar is upon us. We have entered the long fall/winter period (in the N. hemisphere) and the spring holy days and the beginning of another Holy Days season seems so far away.

Our drifting lives are bound to the New moons and God's Holy Days...

We are in the 9th month and this is the evening of 7th of Kislev, 5775. How many more new moons will come before the return of Jesus Christ, God only knows...
