I know a guy named "Brother Stanley" that would tell you that it's Baptists. They "never protested" and have been in existence since John the Baptist. That makes about as much sense to me as saying the Catholic church is the "one true church".

This is how I see things.

The Catholics have a leader who tells them what to believe and how to act. A lot of them do not even pay attention to the Christian bible.

The Protestants read the bible and follow the parts that appeal to them. They find other people who share their common beliefs and form a church.

That's about it.
