Shouldn't we store our treasures in Heaven? While keeping one eye on our present behavior and keeping our other eye on future rewards .

The Bible does speak of heavenly rewards but that is not something I ever really think about concerning my behavior here. (Maybe I should!) After all, Jesus spoke about it, but usually, I just think about trying to live righteously. That seems enough of a challenge for me right there.

You'd think so, huh?

How many Christians really do that? How many really obey Jesus when He said to sell EVERYTHING we have, give it to the poor, and follow Him?

Answer: Very few.

For many of the charitable things I do, I recieve absolutley no earthly reward!

I figure if I get there, maybe the Lord is starting a little savings account for me

Nope, if anyone is doing it for a 'future reward', then perhaps they need to step back and take another look at what this whole thing is about.

Pretend that there is no future reward after death. Would that change your behavior today? If it would.......well, think about it some more because something is wrong with the relationship you have with others.
