[Dead Sea Scrolls Bible translated from Hebrew to English]

~ Exodus 17:14 [DSS]
"And The Lord said to Moses,
Write this For A Memorial In A Book and rehearse it in the hearing of Joshua:
I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven."

~ Exodus 24:4 [DSS]
'And Moses Wrote down All The Words Of The Lord..."

(Moses did not Write down THE whole Bible as The WORD 0f The Lord.
Moses did not Write Down the whole book of Exodus as The Words Of The Lord.)

~ Exodus 24:3,12 [DSS] [NKJV]
"Moses TOLD the people all The Words Of The Lord and all The Ordiances...
and the people said, all The Words The Lord has Spoken we will do.
And Moses WROTE Down All The Words 0f The Lord...
and Mose took The Book Of The Covenant and read it in the hearing of the people.
And they said all The Lord has SPOKEN we will obey and we will do....
...Then The Lord said to Moses come up here on the mountain
and I will give you TABLETS Of STONE The Law 0f Commandments Which I HAVE WRITTEN."

(The Lord did not Write all THE Bible. The Lord did not Speak all THE Bible)

~ Ex.31:18 [NKJV]
"And when He made an end of Speaking with Moses on Mt. Sinai
He gave Moses Two Tables 0f Stone, Written With The Finger 0f God."

~ Exodus 32:15,16 [DSS]
"And Moses turned and went down the mountain with
The Two Tablets Of The Testimony in his hand, Tablets that were Written
on both sides they were Written on the front and back.
And The Tablets were The Work Of God
and The Writing Was The Writing Of God Engraved On The Tablets."

(THE Bible is not "The WORK Of God".
Nor is the writing of ALL The Bible "THE WRITING Of God")

~Exodus 32:31,32 [DSS]
"These people have sinned a great sin and made for themselves a god of gold!
And now, if You will forgive their sin-and if not, please
Blot my me out of YOUR BOOK Which YOU HAVE WRITTEN.
And The Lord said to Moses,
who ever has sinned against Me, I will Blot Out Of MY BOOK."

(THE Bible is not His 'BOOK' which He has Written.)

~ Exodus 34:1 [DSS]
"And The Lord said to Moses, Cut Two Tablets 0f Stone like the first one
and I will Write on The Tablets The Words that were on the first one you broke."

~ Exodus 34:27,28 [DSS]
"The Lord said to Moses, Write these Words: For in accordance With These Words
I HAVE MADE A Covenant With You And With Israel.
He was there with The Lord 40 days and 40 nights he neither ate bread nor drank water
he Wrote on The Tablets The Words Of The Covenant."

*This concludes everything God Spoke or Wrote or had Written OF, IN the book of Exodus.
God did not Write everything IN the book Of Exodus.
God did not speak every word of the book of Exodus.
Even God has His Own Book which is not "THE Testaments" of man's Bible.

- The previous post is about the 1st time in 'THE Bible'
God told someone to 'Write' what He said or God Himself 'Wrote' for someone.
For His Covenent with them.

Now I'll post the 1st times the words Scribes, Scripture or 'Inscribed' are in the Bible:

- When King David reigned over all Israel and had a Scribe named Seraiah. - 2 Sam.8:17
Joab was over the army and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was a 'Recorder'.

- David's Psalm 40:7 to The Lord was that:
"Behold I come; in The Scroll, 0f The Book it is Written of me."

- There could be more than one Scroll to a Book. - Jer.36:4

- Scribes & Recorders were also listed as 'officials' of King Solomon. - 1 Kings 4:3
Scribes were different from just his 'Recorder'.

- Scribes had a Chamber in The King's House. - Jer.36:12

- Thus saith The Lord, by Jeremiah His Prophet:
"How can you say we are wise and the Law of The Lord is with us?
Look The False Pen 0f The Scribe Certainly Works Falsehood." - Jer.8:8

- Jeremiah The Prophet was told by The Lord to take a Scroll, 0f A Book
and Write on it all the Words He spoke to His Prophet against Israel and the Nations.
Jeremiah being confined, had Baruch write and he took The Scroll 0f The Book to The Lord House.
The Scroll was read to Princes and Scribes who told it to the King. - Jer.36

To be continued...

- I can only find one time in the Old Testament where the word for Scripture is used.

And in The Dead Sea Scolls it is not even the word Scripture. But the word 'Inscribed'.

"I will tell you what is Inscribed in The Book Of Truth..." - Daniel 10:21

Hmmm, where is this "Book Of Truth"? Not on earth!

And with all The Scrolls, Of Books spoken of in The Old Testament
why was the word Scripture Not Use At ALL by them?

But then in The New Testament
the word Scripture is the reference to something being said IN The Old Testament Books.

Those of New Testament times never refered to their writings as Scripture.
They always and only refered to that of what we call The Old Testament as Scripture.

So when Paul said, "ALL Scripture Is Given By The Inspiration 0f God..."

Paul, nor anyone else never ever refered to what he or they wrote as scripture.

(Matthew & Mark)
Jesus is quoted as saying, "have you never read in The Scriptures: PS.118:22,23

(Matthew & Mark)
Jesus said, 'you are mistaken not knowing the Scriptures or the power of God.'

(Matthew & Mark)
Jesus said, 'how could the Scriptures be fulfilled that must happen thus: Is.50:6

(Matthew & Mark)
Jesus said, 'But all this was done that the Scriptures of The Prophets might be fulfilled.'

(Mark)
So the Scripture was fullfilled which says,
'And He was numbered with the transgressors: Is.53:12

* Jesus and others refered to The Scriptures as of what we know of The Old Testament.

(Luke)
Jesusu said, 'today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing: Is.49:8 -Is.61:1

(Luke)
Jesus said, 'O foolish ones and slwo to hear, believe in All that The Prophets have spoken'
And beginning at Moses and All The Prophets He expounded to them In All The Scriptures the things concerning Him.'

(Luke)
'Did our hearts burn within us
while He talked with us on the road and while He opened The Scriptures to us?'

(Luke)
'These are The Words which Spoke to you while I was still with you, that All things must be fulfilled which Were Written In The Law Of Moses and The Prophets and The Psalms Concerning Me.'

* So of Matthew, Mark and Luke:
Jesus and others refered to The Scriptures as to what we know of as The Old Testament.

(John)

- Jesus said, you search the Scriptures for IN them you think you have eternal life;
and these are they which Testify 0f Me.

- "Therefore when Jesus had risen from the dead, His Disciples remember that Jesus had said this to them and they Believed The Scripture and THE Word Jesus had said."

- Jesus said, He who believe in Me as the Scripture Has said,
out of his heart (intentions) will flow rivers of living water."

- "Has not Scripture said that The Christ comes from
the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem."

- "Is it not Written in Your Law I Said you are gods?
If He called them gods to whom THE WORD Of GOD CAME, and Scripture can not be broken..."

Afraid I'm going to have to correct some of this.

Not all of this verse is extant in the Dead Sea Scrolls. If I bracket off everything that has to be reconstructed from somewhere other than DSS, it looks more like this:

[And] The L[or]d said to Moses,
Write this For A Memorial In A Book and rehearse it in the hearing of Joshua:
I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

(Moses did not Write down THE whole Bible as The WORD 0f The Lord.
Moses did not Write Down the whole book of Exodus as The Words Of The Lord.)
Even less is attested in DSS:

[And Moses Wrote down Al]l The Wor[ds Of The Lord]

In other words, the Dead Sea Scroll witness to this verse looks like this:

Quote:
]l the wor[

The only words preserved in the Dead Sea Scrolls for that entire text are the following:

Quote:
]told[ ]one, and[ ]
V. 12 isn't even preserved at all in the Dead Sea Scrolls. I'm gonna stop there. I don't know what you're reading, but it's certainly not the Dead Sea Scrolls.

How do I know? Because I have worked in a professional capacity with the scrolls for years.

Of course I know it. I've worked with Flint and Abegg quite extensively. That book, however, does not quote verses that are not attested in the scrolls.
