i believe that the scrolls that were recently found are books from the bible that were taken out like the book of Thomas and of marry and many others how do most of you feel about them if they are true then we as a people have some changing to do in our beliefs, and how we feel.

Hi Thomdan2!
I am not familiar with these, can you post a link to a good site? Thanks. Very interested to read. What are YOUR thoughts about it?

I have read the gospel of Thomas. While I understand it is possible (actually very probable) that there are more books that were excluded, I'm not sure if the Gospel of Thomas is one of them. It does make for an interesting read, however, the tone of it is completely different than the other gospels we read.

As for the missing books that were supposedly found...Who am I to say that they are not valid? Quite frankly, I hope they ARE lost books of the Bible. Why? Because it would give the Bible more validity IMO. I think perhaps others may be a little more open to accepting the Bible.
I haven't read much of what is labeled as the Gospel of Mary (Magdalene), however, it sounds very Taoist/Buddhist in nature. Here's one website where you can read about from "Mary"...again, however, the tone from this is different than the Bible as we know it, so I would have to question it's authenticity.
The Gospel of Mary Magdalene

Which ones are you referring to?
The Dead Sea Scrolls, the more recently discovered Gospel of Judas, or both?

I think many scholars would agree that authentic writings of that time can add to our historical understandings of those early communities.
Wether or not they add to God's revelation is another thing.

here is a site to look at to read some of them like i said personally i think there true theres proof that the bible had a group of people that went through and edited and took out books from the bible and i believe these are some of them.

To be honest, the movie The Last Temptation of Christ (original novel written by Nikos Kazantzakis) had a more profound affect on me than the Dead Sea Scrolls.
I haven't read the Gospel of Judas, nor am I planning to.

I have not read them, but we all should always be open to new discoveries that may help stop all the confusion in Christianity, imo, of course
