Then again 'mainstreaming' a religion to be accepted (or even made popular) by the masses could be considered propaganda.

Read dojilynn's post above..I think she just nailed it..
Most Christians in the US dont differ that much on the basics...that is preaching/teaching Christ crucified for our sins..
waterdowned scripture is worthless..we should never add too or take away from the Bible to make people happy, thats not what I meant at all.

yes..its sad but you are correct..one can watch the news and see it happening. When man tries to adjust or alter something that wasnt his to alter, then comes all kinds of new problems IMHO
I think my own interpretation comes from the Holy Spirit, and he leads me thru the scriputure, and therefore its not ARGUYS interpretation anymore,

and when Im led by the Holy Spirit, that interpretation will line up with other believers interpretation.
I agree arguy;
Every single time that's His promise, and it tested and found true.
When the He promised the he would not leave us comfortless; he didn't, The Holy Spirit is our guide in all things, ( better than a seeing eye dog").
Once a great man of God told me that sacred scriptures from all religions were created in such a clever way that they had 2 meanings, the obvious message was intended to inspire the average man, while the other was meant to help the serious spiritual seeker on his/her quest for God, since that day I've followed his advice, but I would love to know the opinions of my fellow forum users and brothers.
I try to follow the Bible literally following the discrimination and intuition given by the Holy Spirit!
What he said!!!
