Pelosi commenting on religion reminds me very much of Pat Robertson commenting on ... well, anything. You kind of just have to sit there and goggle at the crazy coming out of the mouth.
"Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself." (Mark Twain)
Politicians walk a fine line when they care more about their careers than they do their convictions. They know that if they stand for something they believe in, and make it public, and it's too controversial, or goes against the majority opinion, then, possibly they lose support from the voters. It's a sad commentary on our state of affairs in this world today when the people that need to stand up and make a difference are more interested in financial gain, and the lure of power, than they are about holding morals, and honesty above all. There are some politicians that champion that cause, but, sadly, it seems that, generally speaking, people are more concerned with what those in power will do for them as opposed to if it will be the right thing.
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
Paul was quoting God Psalms 14:1-3; 53:1-3; Eccles. 7:20 .... that includes Mary

Isaiah 64:6
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

Do a search about Mary. She was born without orginal sin and was sinless her whole life. I would question those passages anyway. Seems no one will go to heaven when it's taken out of context.
